AID-MENA has a multidisciplinary team of more than 50 professional staff and consultants with a diversity of educational backgrounds, skills and experiences in various fields including development, economic, social, political, and environmental.  

The goal of AID-MENA Team is to establish strong and effective relations with each other and with partner organizations in order to develop and build the image of the organization to highly benefit various communities within the MENA region.

Ibrahim Ahmed

Position: Accountant

Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim is a graduate of the Cairo University having received his BC in Commerce. From there, Mr. Ibrahim worked on a number of programs and projects, with different procedures and financial systems, funded by well-respected organizations such as the EU, USAID, SIDA, UNDP and UNOPS.

Ahmed Allouch

Position: National Coordinator - Tunisia

Ahmed is Founding member and Vice-president, "Youth Without Borders as well as the Tunisian National Coordinator of the regional program "HEYA".

Manal M. Samra

Position: National Coordinator - Egypt

Manal Samra holds a Master’s degree in Political Science, and specialized in Development in 1998 from the American University in Cairo; with a Bachelor degree in Mass communication, Journalism from Cairo University.

Ahmed EL Assal

Position: Regional Field Officer

Ahmed El Assal is the Regional Programs Officer at the Academy for International Development - Middle East & North Africa (AID-MENA) with 6 years of community development experience. In addition to being a graduate from the Faculty of Business Administration of Helwan University, he is also studying for his Master degree in International Business Administration.

Dr. Hiam Elgousi

Position: Gender Consultant

Dr. Hiam Elgousi gained her MSc in Development Training and Education form the University of Wolverhampton, UK. In her PhD research she examined the role and influence of contemporary scholars (Ulma) on Arabian women’s rights with a focus on Islamic women living in Egypt.

Mr. Magdy Fahmy

Ehsan Mahfouz Aly

Ehsan Mahfouz Aly has been working for Academy for International Development – Middle East and North Africa (AID  MENA) as the Human Resources manager for 5 years, holding a professional diploma in Human Resources from Ain Shams University powered by Lane University.

Youssef Tarek

Position:  Art Director

Youssef Mohamed Tarek, the newest member of the AID-MENA team was appointed in mid 2014 as the IT specialist and Media Director for all current and upcoming projects. Mr. Tarek was especially appointed with the role of heading the media phase of the Heya program.
